One of the main reasons that Clarabelle Blue was developed was because I could not find any books where my Black disabled daughter could see herself. It is a fact that Black children with disabilities are sent to the principal's office more often, have more disciplinary infractions than their white counterparts, and in general black people are at much greater risk of being killed by the police than our white counterparts. I am not looking to play the oppression Olympics with anyone, nor will I be debating or educating anyone on any facts today. RocketChair Productions/ Clarabelle Blue, stands in full support Black Lives Matter, protestors and allies, and will be participating in Blackout Tuesday.
